Chhattisgarh agrees to adopt Alternative Development Model!

Chattisgarh govt has signed a strategic partnership with India Center Foundation (ICF). The partnership focuses on the inclusive, sustainable, and progressive development of the state, which is aligned with the principles of the Alternative Development Model (ADM). ADM is a socio-economic development framework that works on the principles of Energy-efficiency, Environmental Responsibility, and Sustainability (EES).

This ground-breaking model will upgrade the development operating system that supports the non-exploitation of people, resources, and environment at its core to create equitable opportunities through new types of economic entities.

Principal Secretary- Industry Shri Manoj Pingua and the Managing Trustee of ICF Shri. Sankalp Shukla signed the MoSA in the presence of state CM Bhupesh Bhagel and Founding Chairman of ICF Shri. Vibhav Kant Upadhyay. By signing the MoSA, Chattisgarh has now agreed to be the model state for AD compliant initiatives that will focus on education, skill development, innovative digital solutions, industrial development, development of agriculture corridor, urban & rural development, Buddhist Tourism infrastructure, and ensuring the global presence of Chhattisgarh.

Japan, a key partner of ADM, is committed to India’s development through the India-Japan Global Partnership (IJGP). ICF will work with the State of Chhattisgarh to integrate the state into the IJGP framework to build larger participation of Japan and other global partners in the development process of the state. The immediate outcomes expected from this partnership are Japanese language skill centers in the state, opportunities for skilled individuals to work in Japan and acquire crucial experiences, enhanced digital education ecosystem for schools and students, development of Buddhist sites, and beginning of agriculture corridor.

ICF chairman and proponent of ADM, Shri Vibhav Kant Upadhyay addressed the occasion and said that this alliance will pave the way for Chhattisgarh to adopt a new development model leading to empowerment and a vibrant economy. He said that the ADM is the future and Chhattisgarh will be the model state to adopt and implement this progressive way of development. The ICF delegation of 17 global leaders was welcomed by Hon. Cabinet Minister Amarjeet Bhagat. The minister remarked that this partnership will set an example of an empowerment-based governance model in the world.
